Minister, Sindh Assembly speaker pay tribute to Lal Shahbaz Qalandar

On the birth anniversary of the great Sufi saint of the subcontinent, Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, Provincial Minister for Auqaf, Religious Affairs, Zakat and Ushr, Syed Riaz Hussain Shah Shirazi, issued a special message and paid tribute to the religious, spiritual and social services of the saint.

Syed Riaz Hussain Shah Shirazi said that Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar spread the message of love, humanity, tolerance and brotherhood through his teachings and personal conduct. He stated that Qalandar transcended caste, race, language and sect to unite humanity on the basis of love and respect. The provincial minister said that the shrine of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar remains a symbol of peace, harmony and tolerance, where people from all schools of thought gather.

He added that the shrine is not only a place of worship but also a center of social reform, unity and mutual respect.

He emphasized that connecting the younger generation with the teachings of Sufi saints is a critical need of the time, as the Sufi message provides a strong intellectual response against extremism, hatred and division. He said that adopting the philosophy of love and service taught by Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar can promote lasting peace and stability in society.

Syed Riaz Hussain Shah Shirazi said that the Auqaf Department Sindh is taking practical steps to promote the message of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar and other Sufi saints. He added that improved facilities, effective management and strong security arrangements are being ensured at shrines so that devotees can gain spiritual blessings with peace of mind.

Separately, Sindh Assembly Speaker Syed Awais Qadir Shah said that Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar was a great Sufi saint of the subcontinent and a true epitome of humanity.

In his message on Rajab 21, the birth anniversary of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, he said that the message of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar was love, peace and tolerance, which serves as a guiding light for all of us.

Syed Awais Qadir Shah said that the teachings of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar promoted unity, brotherhood and humanity.

Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar was a shining beacon of knowledge and spirituality, he said adding that the spiritual blessings of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar continue to unite people even today. He further said that Sindh is the land of saints.
