British Parliament

Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts received recognition in the British Parliament, where members of the House of Lords praised the country’s role in helping facilitate a ceasefire between the United States and Iran. The discussion highlighted Pakistan’s contribution to reducing tensions and promoting dialogue between the two sides.

Lord Ahmad said he was confident that all members of the House, including the minister present, would acknowledge Pakistan’s important role in the peace process. He noted that Pakistan had made a valuable contribution toward regional stability and diplomacy.

Baroness Chapman thanked Pakistan for its efforts, saying the country played a significant role in helping the United States and Iran reach a stage where progress toward a ceasefire became possible. She praised Pakistan’s constructive diplomatic engagement.

Lord Barber urged the British government to formally congratulate Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on the achievement. He said the prime minister’s commitment to peace and his efforts to promote lasting stability in the region deserved recognition.

Baroness Chapman of Darlington also commended Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, saying he had done an excellent job and was worthy of praise. She added that Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives had helped create conditions for dialogue and peace between the parties involved.
