Maulana Nauman shot dead in Charsadda

A young religious personality identified as Maulana Nauman was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Nista Police Station jurisdiction of Charsadda district on Wednesday.

According to police, the victim was a resident of Surpul locality. He died at the scene after unknown gunmen opened fire on him. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident. The motive behind the killing has not yet been determined and efforts are underway to identify and arrest those responsible.

Seven policemen injured in attack on check-post in Kurram: At least seven policemen were injured after unidentified assailants attacked a police check post in the Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday, according to police sources cited by television channels.

Initial reports said the attackers opened fire on the check post, leaving seven police personnel injured at the scene.

The injured policemen were shifted to a nearby hospital, where they are receiving medical treatment. Following the attack, police cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to trace and apprehend the assailants. Authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances and motive behind the attack.
